Take The BBQ Please.......

Yesterday was another fun filled day.... We set off early in the mornin' to get some shopping done for the family BBQ... BHM got into the car and found that the brakes weren't working properly... Not Good! So he drove over to the mechanic and was told he would be okay till Wednesday when he can look at it.. About a month ago we had the brakes done... But was told that the brake lines were needing to be replaced... But we could still drive the car.... Anyways it will be fixed on Wednesday morning... A few more hundred bucks for that job... Off we went driving ever so carefully..... The roads were wet from rain and made the car slide a couple of times.. But BHM did a great job of staying clear of any unnecessary collisions....Once all the shopping was done, we came home and got a few things done around here.. Hence the "cleaning portion" and I went off to finish the last minute errands and get a quick manicure... (have to treat myself).... Then around 4 pm the family started appearing.... First up was BHM's Aunt and Uncle and then not long after my Auntie M and Uncle A and Cousin C .... A couple of friends were invited but never came... There was lots of food and BHM was the "MAN" on a mission with the BBQing.... Always tastes great when he cooks... salads were brought and desserts and fresh Ontario strawberries.....Yumm Yumm..... The kids were here with their friends and a neighbour popped over for a bite.... I will be posting pictures later.... As for today's events... First up is a nice breakfast of bacon and homemade French Toast with a Blueberry sauce made from fresh Blueberries... then there is a festival at Gage Park... called "It's Your Festival"... Music and food and some other goodies.... and nearby is a little wading pool and playground for Mr.G to visit before we leave.... MPR is coming with and hopefully her friend D.... So it will be tons of fun I'm sure and will have to take lots of pictures of our fun times..... Today Germany is playing Spain in the Euro Cup....and that ought to be a good game... We're rootin' or Germany of course....

Thanks for stopping by and smelling the meat cook.....

Evil-E: it was a good game, but sadly Germany did not win this time around...

That's my main fear of any car. The brakes. I could be driving with brand new brakes put in, and I'd still be freaked out that they wouldn't work.

Tara: yes it is kinda of scary...

I just spent over $500 on my breaks and I bought new tires. I would love to have a break on car expenses for a while.

I hope the BBQ was great.

This post has officially made me hungry. The French Toast with fresh blueberry sauce sounds great.
